I've never seen such a retract tower on a PET-G on a bowden! I became a fan of direct drive. 😀

@Triffen
Yeah, there is a small amount of ghosting, but Aquila was not designed for such a heavy head and I can accept it because now you can print something like this out of PET-G and it will not be clogged inside with crap that cannot be cleaned🙂 :)

P.S. This is an example, I can't imagine who would want to ruin a >$1000 Prusa with such a thing 😜

I found a fresh Marlin for the Aquila printer, it's flashed and apparently works - that's good news.

However, turning on Linear Advance still makes the stepper motors squeak like an unlubricated cart, which is bad news.

@Triffen

Hmm, I think maybe I'm spoiled by quiet stepper motors in "normal" mode, but two years ago when I first tried the LA I was horrified.

And I wasn't alone, by the way

I thought it was fixed in the latest version, but no🙂

@Triffen Well the stepper motors are exactly the same, but as for drivers I'm not sure - it is necessary to disassemble the printer and tear off the heat sink from the chip.
