Well, it certainly paves the way nicely for the BlueSky launch. People will be more than ready to leave in droves once that's available. This is the only way to guarantee mass adoption for what is essentially twitter 2.0? You gotta well and truly kill the old platform.
Does anyone else have the issue where imported photos are not available to curate in portfolio? The ones I directly uploaded are.. just not my 50+ imports
Has anyone else had this issue? I'm in my chrome mobile browser on android and trying to post a photo to a mag . I am able to select the desired pic from my files but when I tap 'upload' nothing happens. Thoughts?
Personally, I had never so much as imagined that I would ever dance before I entered university as an undergraduate student. However, my second semester in my American university, one of my friends invited me to join a waltz class at the university-affiliated ballroom dance club....
So glad to find this space now that my old forum (Balletalert) is gone. I started dancing as a child but never got into it seriously til I was in my late 20s due to lack of funds and the fact that I grew up in a rural area with limited access to classes. I've tried tap, jazz, contemporary, but my heart belongs to classical ballet. I've been taking it recreationally for the last 15+ years. I would love to try ballroom someday too! Glad to be here!
Did you ever have that feeling on reddit of "I better word my post just right, otherwise AutoMod will take it down"? Some subs had such strict auto moderating that it was a crap shoot to post something. Not so here. I know there's value in moderation, and I'm sure Lemmy/kbin/etc. will add more of it with time. But, for now, it...
Glad I'm not the only one noticing this! Didn't realize how much it had affected me. It took me days to dip my toes in when I came here, and I still felt that 'twitch' waiting for the automod to slap my post down, or feeling the insta-flames or downvote parade in some of the big subs.
Our first computer was an IBM, and the first pc game that i remember is called Kindergarten, i wish i remembered more about it though, i would love to watch on youtube and get a nostalgia boost haha
'Where In the World is Carmen San Diego' on a Commodore 64 in elementary school! I loved that game so much. Looked forward to computer class every week. Also, my cousin had a mac, I think, that had a game where you played two tanks on opposite sides of the screen, and the tanks shoot each other and drop bombs on each other. Edit: wiki tells me it was called Scorched Earth. I can still remember the sound effects...wish I could remember the name of that one! The first PC game that I really gave huge chunks of my life to was Ultima Online (Pacific shard woop woop). My first Guild experience...first dungeon crawl..ahh the nostalgia..those were good times. Cor por!
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but is there some kind of Fediverse dashboard program (kind of like tweetdeck) where I could connect my Pixelfed, Kbin, Mastadon accounts, for example, and post to each of them from the one dashboard? I read a post somewhere of someone using Feedly to gather in all the feeds, but I don't think you can post with that.

I for sure heard a monster in my closet

Just realized something I *don't* miss about reddit: post anxiety
