Is it a rule imposed by the phone carriers, who want you to buy a different plan with no voice service if you have a tablet? It can’t be the phone makers since the are so many. It can’t be Android software licenses since Apple seems affected too. I’d be pretty interested in a tablet sized phone. But they seem to have maxed...
Basically, ~7cm width is about the limit it seems, because I assume manufacturers realised that's where most human hands are comfortable with holding a phone.
There were a few giant phones in the past, Sony Xperia's Ultra at 6.4 and the Xiaomi's Mi Max at 6.44" to 6.9". If given the 19:9 to 20:9 aspect ratios of today they'd be 7" phones (so again, don't compare phone sizes based solely on screen diagonal). As they're no longer made I assume they just didn't sell well enough.

It is absolutely ridiculous. If it's well-earned, sure, a hefty profit is fine. But profits cannot be ever-growing infinitely, that's just not possible. Our economies are in for a shakeup, that's for sure.
Well, it's going to be worse now, with HyperOS devices not getting updates if they unlock their bootloader. I think they're going to implement some more limits too, like time or device limits. It's throughly depressing overall.
He's effectively trying to get a raise. I don't see this any different from asking a raise from your boss at work. I mean, if you don't want more money from work, that's your problem, not his.
Hi all, I have a quick and possibly very simple question. I have a keychron V6 with red switches being delivered to me tomorrow. I just want to know what switches and keycaps will fit this keyboard? This is my very first mechanical/swappable keyboard and I know nothing about it. I want to try other switches, mainly brown, blue...
Keycaps are easy, anything MX compatible (which is like most of them) will work. Since the V6 is a 100% it's even easier, since it's a standard layout and you don't need to look for extended keycap sets that have keys to correspond to certain layout types.
Switches you need to just bite the bullet every now and then. A tester only will get you so far. Expect to make a few regretful purchases from time to time.
I have been making the occasional coworker a cup of aeropressed coffee with good reviews thus far. Being that it is shift work, most of my coworkers are used to drinking the reduced syrup of a pot that’s been left on the burner too long (one coworker thanked me for leaving it for her!). Many don’t even know coffee doesn’t...
I'm late to this, but really, for questions like these, you really need to state two things:
Roughly where you live. If I recommend something from Indonesia, and you live in the UK, that's not going to cut it, is it?
A hard number for a budget, cheap has different meanings to different people across income groups. Cheap to me as broke student in my 20s is different from me as a working adult in my 40s.
Hey. I am planning to buy the Xiaomi Mi 11, I found it for 300€ and I think there’s just not a better phone for this price range, but software is a problem. I want to install a custom ROM and that obviously means losing access to official camera and the full 108mp mode....
You should look for custom ROMs that incorporate the official camera app. It's been a while since I dabbled with custom ROMs but there's always a few makers that'd do so.

Then why're you even commenting in an area that you don't partake in? This is like saying "I don't get why people buy sports cars" in a forum of racing enthusiasts. Or saying "I don't see the need for cast iron woks" when you're happy to have boiled pasta every day.
I don't really care about that as long as it doesn't interfere with my daily use; that's what I really dislike whenever MS adds something to Edge, it adds cruft to the UI, and also why I get the complaints about ads in the Start Menu (I'm not in the USA, never had ads in the Start Menu ever). That shit would be so infuirating.
