my only issue with this is the lack of global subscriber and upvote counts. i cant tell how many people are subscribed to an instance, just how many are subbed on my instance. same for upvotes. so a community might look small at first glance but have tons of posts.
I discovered that if the subreddit hasn’t been accessed from your instance before, then you have to copy and paste the link from the original instance into the search bar, then it’ll start showing that community
I have one in my drawer, I want a snack, and I like Snickers. But I can't bring myself to eat it. I don't want a half-eaten candy bar in my drawer (you want ants? that's how you get ants.) but I also don't want to eat the whole thing (i'm smol and that's a ridiculous amount of calories) but i cant bring myself to throw the...
Put the uneaten half in a sandwich bag or something, that’s what I do with my other half eaten stuff. Like the other half of a cosmic brownie (did you know those things have like 50% of the recommended daily maximum sugar intake? Or the other pop tart in the package of 2 (the serving size is 1 but they put 2 in a package that can’t be resealed?)

Guilded and Revolt are my top 2 discord alternatives. Guilded is proprietary and was bought by Roblox, Revolt is open source. I haven’t fully tried Revolt but it looks promising. Guilded has many nitro features for free and extra features that discord doesn’t have. Only thing holding it back IMO is a lack of a large user base and the fact the people are so opposed to change. My friends actually laughed at me and called it a discord knockoff when I tried to get the server to move
Hi there! I've been trying to improve the situation for the past few hours. I managed to disable CF Protection, and as you can see, I'm gradually allowing traffic from the fediverse. There may still be delays in deliveries and posts for some time. If anything is particularly troublesome, please let me know through the contact...
Heck, I’m totally capable of doing research and learning these things, but even I prefer simplicity. Not everything has to be a complicated learning experience. Even people experienced with tech can appreciate something simple and easy to use.
I wanted to get a pulse check on how new members are finding the general experience/website. Is it more confusing than Reddit or are you finding the instance system a better way of doing things as it can give you more freedom of where you choose to create an account?...
if you don't like a certain instance, like if you don't agree with the rules or how the admins handle things, you can go to another. people can create instances for like minded individuals, so instead of being pushed away from the platform entirely they can just find another instance.
its not an all-purpose zelda subreddit, but i've made a magazine for botw, aoc, and totk at m/breathofthewild. it's meant to be similar to r/Breath_of_the_Wild
I’d like to add my own to kbin magazine to the list, m/breathofthewild, as an alternative to r/breath_of_the_wild. One of the mods wasn’t happy with me using their icon and sidebar and removed my post on the subreddit, and I felt bad and apologized and changed them, but they haven’t replied to me yet.
#TOTK really, REALLY wants me to use its janky as fuck new "vehicles” feature. it's slightly pathetic. little caches of shit everywhere all "please! please spend five minutes trying to cobble me together so you can go fast in a straight line for a minute or two!”
this game is basically BOTW + shitty Minecraft + shitty Garry's Mod, all in a trenchcoat
@bitprophet over time you get more stuff to make better vehicles. You’ll eventually find a control stick so you don’t have to travel in straight lines.
What made you pick the Lemmy server you are on?
Does it actually matter?
Pop!_OS officially supports Lemmy as Reddit alternative (www.reddit.com)
The official community is hosted at !pop_os...
Does anyone actually eat a whole full-sized snickers?

Anybody else getting a ton of OF bots following them in the past couple days?
Pretty bad timing by them to do this when people are about to stop using reddit

Pssst... any ideas for a domain name for the new instance?

Share the community around!
We need members. Share the community around to anyone who might be interested, especially those from r/breath_of_the_wild
For everyone new to Lemmy, how are you finding the experience?

The growing list of subreddits going to be dark, but these are Lemmy or /kbin equivalents
Based on this...
