Science fiction is quite simply one of the most popular genres of film that we have. The creation of faraway places and futuristic technology seems to be exactly what the medium of film was designed to create. Sci-fi on film has been around for as long as there have been movies. But which ones are the best? Figuring that out is...
Yeah, now that I think about it, if you described Truman show to someone that has never seen it, they would have to think it was sci-fi. But it's done so well and plays so close to the realm of possibility that I've never really considered it sci-fi...
Whatever it is, it's brilliant.
I agree, these gentlemen train incredibly hard all year (and have been doing so for much of their lives) only to get injured by some selfish and clueless fan and have to drop.
The behavior of fans during climbing segments is even more infuriating to me. At the bare minimum, it's incredibly disrespectful of the riders.
In the case of a significant fan interference like this, organizers stop the entire race and note the time gaps between groups. Once the injuries and mechanicals are tended to, they restart with those same time gaps.
Yeah, if you consider operating costs and such, I wouldn't want to insure a fancy car either. I would just abandon either of them and hope there's no paper trail leading back to me.
In the spirit of the question, though, I would take the boat. I already have a car and it doesn't float.
Do you have better solutions in mind. My naive thoughts are that paying a living wage will also cost business owners more (hence why they're not sounds that), but try that regulating illegal immigrant pay could risk deportation. The later point is speculation on my part, and seems oxymoronic ...
Seems like the best option is to make it easier to get legal immigrant area status for workers.
spoilers ahead I felt like the character conflict arcs were contrived and ultimately the idea of learning a language makes you a pre-cog fell flat for me. In science fiction, the big idea goes 'woo!' or the characters go 'woo!' but in the case of Arrival, nothing really went 'woo!'...

This is an important point. Just because a platform is profitable, doesn't mean it hasn't been enshitified. It's far more likely to have been enshitified to drive profits, imo.
The quest line that leads to the master sword actually drives a significant amount of map exploration and story exposition. It's very satisfying to take on early-game, IMO.
