I recently played an amazing DOS game where you have your country and you can declare war or peace with other ones, and i really enjoyed it. Growing up one of my favorite DOS games was Gobliiins 3, such cool memories!
If you’re not sure, I’d say try the dlc on default mode first. If you ever find yourself feeling like you’d enjoy the game more if it was less scary, you can turn on the reduce frights option.
I played on default, but from what I’ve read it reduces certain sounds and the chance of certain events happening. Of course I don’t want to say too much because just like the main game, the magic is in discovering everything yourself :)
I was initially introduced to Mastodon a few years ago by a close friend and picked up on it quickly given the benefits of not having to deal with advertising, or being shown what a mega-corporation thought I should have to see through algorithms. I have since found a great instance over on cupoftea.social that promotes quality...
Over the last few years I’ve gotten back into reading books using my library app. Gardening can also be a low cost hobby if you are able to start plants from seeds and have some space outside.
Agree! Picked up crocheting during covid and made some clothing pieces and a few tiny stuffed animals. Great way to keep busy while watching a show or listening to podcasts.
True! I’ve never borrowed anything from my local “library of things”, but they have all kinds of things from metal detectors, sewing machines, musical instruments. That’s a great idea for checking out a new hobby without having to make an initial investment.
Roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and any other veg I have sitting around. I’ll usually add in some tofu, tempeh, or veg sausage too with spices. It takes some time to cook, but the prep only takes a couple of minutes.
What is your favorite ever DOS game?

A lot subreddits end their blackout tomorrow. Will you go back to Reddit, or continue with kbin and the Fediverse?
I haven't used Reddit at all since the blackout began. Even if they change course, the Fediverse is growing on me, and I think I'll stay here....
Reduced frights on or off?
I think this is my favorite game ever, but I still haven't played the DLC yet (I swear I'll get around to it someday)....
What are some of your favorite Anime to re-watch?
I've been re-watching Hunter x Hunter lately. It has been really fun. What are some of the anime you keep going back to?
Discuss: What's your favorite Sims game and why?
I'm a big fan of 3, personally, as I believe it has a very solid content base.
OC How did you end up finding kbin? Did you migrate here from Reddit?

What is a low-cost, easy to start hobby?
As a favorite time waster site implodes, I’m sure many of us are in the market for a hobby.
What are your guy's favorite quick and easy meals?
Mine is rice, beans/tofu, a random assortment of sauteed veggies, and some random sauce from my fridge.
