"Look we are using ActivityPub, aren't we cool?"
"Look you can access other federated instances on our platform, isn't that cool?"
"All the best content is on our platform now, so we are removing the federation aspect"

Interesting. I'm currently on the "Reputation doesn't mean anything" modus operandi. It might be something we will all need to consider moving forward though.

Female love interest from the Goofy Movie. "Roxanne" I think?

I can sense your desperation to get that job application done 👍

Hopefully you can sense my envy

Wow. Friday is here and my list of things to do is getting smaller. Just the one thing scheduled in the calendar meeting wise, but when I got in this morning there has been a massive failure at one location that I have to deal with as top priority.

Put everything in place and all of a sudden I'm hit with the sleepies as a result of our coffee beans running out and there not being enough for my normal IV drip of coffee that would last me the day.

On Sunday I've made a plan to do a bunch of snacky cooking while my wife takes the son to the park for a few ours. By the time they're back I'm hoping to have a smorgasboard of delights for us to kill off the evening with a movie. Maybe OG Space Jam? Other suggestions appropriate for a 3-4 year old are welcome.

  1. It's pains like those that stop me from getting my skates back on and doing some circuits at the park.
  2. That sounds rancid. Nothing worse than an overflowing bin.
  3. My cardinal rule "Do whichever my wife would prefer". 😂 Just to be safe, you know?

I'd be tempted to put a big Transfer megathread together ala /r/nufc but don't think we have quite the userbase for it. Just post whatever is relevant for now.

That RG35XX looks neat. I'll pick one up. Thanks.

Now that Steam Next Fest has finished I'll probably go back to the usual habits of playing Apex, Gunfire:reborn, and whatever other easy games I can play with 1-2 friends.

But while it was here Warhaven sucked a lot of my time. When that game comes out it'll find its way into the above rotation just by virtue of fitting the usual formula of; party with friends, kill people, achieve objective.

Otherwise, I've got a backlog a mile long of single-player games I bought and wanted to play, but I just can't stick to any one of them for long enough to feel like I'm really making a dent in it. Further to that I feel like when I have the time to play games, it always overlaps with time to play games with friends, and that always trumps playing a solo game for a few hours.

That's awesome.

I have been trying to subliminally encourage my wife to learn to knit/crochet/sew for years, I think it's a great hobby to have but I'm just not dexterous enough. It would be a good one to keep her from mindlessly scrolling as she's trying to avoid at the moment and it would also allow me to ask for cool crocheted figures and I've always liked the idea of having a bunch of plain shirts that have some custom pattern sewn into them. Selfish? Maybe.

Got any patterns and tools I could casually leave in her evening chill spot and she may just suddenly do from a beginner and get her excited to do more?

What is the polite way to tell someone that the smell of a horse that died 2 weeks ago shouldn't be coming out of your ass at 10AM?

Anyway, I've been watching Australian MasterChef. It's fun to watch and is one of the few cooking shows where there is a mix of "I can cook better than most of these people" and "Oh that's a good trick I'll do that in the future". It's an easy watch with my wife and judge the contestants, make up our own dishes and rate theirs based on appearance and imagined flavour. 😂

God, by the time I got to the end of AofShield I was so done with it. they spun it around so many times with time loops, space battles, trying to work the fact that "the snap" happened into the universe. God there was so much to remember. Remember all the mutants? The Darkhold?

I was glad to be done with it, even if I can look back and say for the most part while I was watching it, I was having fun.

I actually heard from someone that Picard gets a lot better later on. Not that I'm willing to invest the time to A. Watch Star Trek in the first place so I get all the specific references or B. Watch a show for multiple seasons hoping it will get better.

okay that second one is a lie, I do that all the time.

Daily user of a Dynavap for about 6 years. Also have the Storz&Bickel Plenty as my desktop vape but that only comes out for special occasions for the amount of product it chews through.

@Friend Sorry I completely missed this one. Thanks @Loki for the re-ping

Yeah I generally vary between the .1 and .05 on the day-to-day. I use a tri-torch butane lighter, but I have a single and double torch ones that I just grab whichever is closest.

It helps keep my product consumption low and helps with all the other reasons I have it too. I have the little copper ring on the cap too that makes it heat more evenly.

@String That's really interesting. My wife uses it as a literary noting tool for all of the material she reads to go towards her PhD.

I have Google Keep that I use for a similar thing as you use Obsidian for. Well, the whole Google Suite, Calendars for birthdays, Keep for recipes, Ideas, URLS I want to revisit etc.

I might ask the Mrs if she thinks I could transfer my Google notes into a Obsidian setup.

Thanks
