One of my faves was reflect 100% on self for 1-2 seconds. It acted as a low cost, timed parry and was mega fun to fight mages with.
You can do the same with sanctuary, but any % of sanctuary is useful, and people really sleep on it imo.
ETA: Just remembered another old fave, very low damage fire damage on target, enchanted on something. Because there's no cooldown for the animation of casting from an enchanted item, it was basically a little flamethrower. I liked to put it on my gauntlet and feel like Boba Fett.
Like if I use an unfamiliar text box I always specifically type "samd" for some reason. I'm just curious if it's not just me or if everyone just keyboard mashes, or even thinks about it at all.
100% a placebo and bad habit so don't do this, but if it's a single bite I'll gently squeeze it like a pimple, and for some reason that tricks my monkey brain into thinking I did something about it.
I'm a fairly skilled pixel artist, but I've fallen deeply out of practice (as you can probably tell). I came up with this magazine/game as a way to both resharpen my skills and contribute something to a community that I'd like to see grow....
Like for example, how someone thinks because you work in IT you can fix their TV, or how if you're into music you must be able to play any random instrument....
To give my own examples: As a pixel artist it drives me nuts when people call anything pixel adjacent "sprite art", because a sprite is just any art made to represent an object/character in 2D, and can be pretty much any art style or even be a 3D model in some cases.
Similarly, the weird conflation people seem to have of voxel art with pixel art. They both have very different design principles, and turning pixel art 1:1 into voxel art doesn't often work as intended for either style.
Also that Dungeons And Dragons is the only role play game.
Oh man I could go on about this. I almost exclusively run Savage Worlds, and it straight up doesn't get enough love for how versatile it is vs. cramming a fistful of homebrewed rules into D&D.
What are your favorite games with unique and fun magic systems?
I love magic systems in games that feel impactful, and especially love them if the mechanic is unique and different....
Does anyone else have a specific word they type into a text entry to test if it has spellcheck enabled?

What are your tried and true remedies for itchy bug bites?
Help.
[1] DarkSynth inspired piece, and some rambling.

What's an innocent misconception about your hobby/profession that drives you up the wall?
