I did some searching, and apparently he's a Five-spotted Hawkmoth, aka my garden nemesis, the tomato hornworm! Never knew those hornworms grew into these adorable giant moths....
Greetings, kbeans! I wanted to inform you that Kbin Link is now available on the Firefox Extension Store. If you're interested, you can find more information about it here: https://github.com/driccio98/kbin-link....
For me flair is probably the most important. I follow a lot of organized sports and being able to quickly identify which team someone supports helps the conversation move along without having to write "as a fan of..." in every single comment. And this isn't a like talking shit, sports guy thing. It's genuinely extremely useful...
Greater attention to user anonymity. For example, right now, you can look at any thread/comment and see who upvoted it and who downvoted it. In addition to causing arguments and drama, it also can be used to build a profile of what a user likes or dislikes - which can have significant ramifications for many people. Users need to be able to trust in certain aspects of anonymity and have control over what information they allow to be public. That also includes public access to know who follows a particular user as well.
The ability to save threads and comments.
The ability to expand/collapse comment trees.
Better moderation tools, including the ability to be notified when new threads are created in a magazine you moderate.
The titles to threads need to directly link to the linked URL instead of opening the kbin comments page. You shouldn't need to go through twice the effort to get to the linked URL. It also adds twice the load for the kbin servers.
Although I would like to NSFW content in my timeline, I think its better to have them blurred by default and only visible if I click on it. And any such post from NSFW subreddits should also be blurred by default. Saying this because I noticed a post from a NSFW subreddit in the front-page and it was displayed without any...
Kbin is new enough and still growing/getting set up, can we just get it built right this time from the start and get TWO clearly different NSF tags? NSFW for sexually explicit and NSFL for death/gore/other.
Tbh, this has been on my mind for the past two days, so I hope you guys don't mind if I unload it here. I tend to obsess and I figure if no one cares, then at least I can get it out of my head instead of thinking about it all the time. Also sorry for the length, I promise I have a doctor's note....
As a former redditor I am glad to have found a new "home" and I hope I'm not intruding. Nevertheless, we are all a huge migration that is bound to change how kbin works and we're bound to piss off some pre-migration Keebinetters. The fact you guys were here before and not in reddit makes evident you don't want this to become a...
This is just sort of a stream of thought from somebody who has been glued to my screen tracking the drama from the past week or so., and also watched the digg exodus happen (although I never used digg, just watched it from reddit's perspective)...

Long and short term, which features would you like to see implemented?

OC Some ramblings about the future

Dear pre-migration Keebinetters, how can we NOT ruin kbin for you?

OC I love the chaos at the moment
I'm feeling a real positive energy and community spirit as a result of the sudden fragmentation of reddit's foundational use base....
Contrary to some of the discourse on rexxit, I don't think the goal should be a "reddit killer" - just to breath life into this corner of the fediverse
