@ernest how do I report a Magazin on kbin.social ? There is a usere called "ps" who is posting to his own "antiwoke" Magazin on kbin.social. Please remove this and dont give them a chance to etablish them self on kbin.social. When I report his stuff it will go to him because he is the moderator of the magazin? Seems like a...
You seem like the type of person who drives weirdly slow past preschools. It's always you types of fuckers projecting their shit onto people they want excuses to hate.
Trans people are pedos? Find me 10 articles of incidents of a trans person getting arrested for pedophilia in the last year.
I bet I can find 10 articles of priests and Christians raping kids in the past fucking month.
Quit projecting, get off the internet, look inward, and shut your fucking mouth.
Dude, he's mocking you all and you don't even get it. The more you scream the more attention you're bringning to his magazine.
Other people are not as stupid as you think. But the question between not giving it attention to challenge it and possibly giving it food to fester or not giving it attention and also not challenging it is not easily answered. Looking at the repulsive backlash, drawing attention to it was the right choice. Sure, some more people might flock there, but the vast majority strongly disapproves and now knows that kbin.social (unsurprisingly) has awful people on it as well.
The arbitrary 8.5-9 hour workday drives me nuts, because a lot of the time, I really only have 3 or 4 hours worth of work to do. I generally work quickly and I value my time. Can I make a decent living doing something that gives me this kind of flexibility?
I don't know where you live, but what you're describing is not the norm in any developed country I've visited. Hourly jobs come with a schedule. You're expected to be at work for the entire scheduled shift, it has nothing to do with amount of work to be done. If you just decide to leave halfway through your shift, you will be fired.
As an aside, if you were paid hourly and only worked a few hours a week, you wouldn't make any fucking money. That's kinda how hourly compensation works, you have to BE AT WORK for an hour if you wish to be paid for that hour.
Got any more dumbass fucking shit to say? Get bent.
Nah, I've worked blue collar, white collar, retail, all kinds of jobs (I have ADHD and have job-hopped a lot). Every job I've ever had has been "you work these days, from this time to this time," even if that means there's hours of downtime. In fact, the only salary job I've had has been the most flexible, but I was still expected in office from 9 to 5. All my other jobs have been hourly and I've always been expected to be there for a set number of hours, no matter the type of work.
So yeah... maybe the turtle slowly waking up that he was just a Laptog for reddit and thrown away as soon as they didnt need him anymore ( moderation is allways a volunteer thing and shouldnt be like a 2nd job ).
Everyone in kbin is handsome and / or gorgeous! Everyone in Lemmy is a Lemmy user ๐ /s
In all seriousness, kbin is developed by Ernest who is an extremely devoted and trustworthy dev. Lemmy is developed by CCP shills. That's the reason I chose kbin.
kbin is also getting steadily updated and I have a very good feeling about its stability and featureset in a few months taking a look at the GitHub.
Agreed! I think I can speak for everyone on album when I say we really hit the jackpot with a dev/creator like Ernest. He has managed changes/fixes/improvements at a lightning pace considered the whole thing is only a few months old. Iโm super impressed with how well the site did under strain recently.
I definitely get the feeling Kbin is the more agile environment compared to Lemmy.
I don't know if you've noticed this, but threads or comments about Lemmy or the Fediverse get downvoted a lot on Reddit and trolls who claim that it's "dogshit" and "not going anywhere" get systematically upvoted....
As a tech savy person, I can confidently say lemmy is not a viable reddit alternative at this stage for an arbitrary reddit user. The UI and clients are just terrible and full of small bugs, annoyances and inconsistencies. Sure, it will eventually get there, but negative opinions about lemmy are not completely unmerrited. Just as I'm typing this, I get screen tears and flickering elements. It's just very, very bleeding edge and I can absolutely see how someone trying it for 5 minutes would be turned off. If you want to capture the masses, the user experience has to impeccable.
PS: my first try at submitting this response timed out. This is my second try.

Pairing up might have been the best move our ancestors ever made
Are there any good jobs out there where you can show up, do your work, and then just leave when it's done?
