In dem Dorf, in dem ich aufgewachsen bin, wurde wiederholt Strohosterhasen aus der Kreiselmitte geklaut. Dann wurde auch Videoüberwachung mit entsprechenden Tafeln augestellt. Darüber gabs Beschwerden aber am Ende war die Überwachung legal.
In § 4 BDSG-neu ist die Videoüberwachung für öffentlich zugängliche Räume geregelt. Demnach gilt, dass Videoüberwachung nur dann zulässig ist, wenn sie als Hilfe zur Aufgabenerfüllung öffentlicher Stellen, zur Wahrnehmung des Hausrechts oder zur Wahrnehmung berechtigter Interessen für konkret festgelegte Zwecke beiträgt. Dies ist beispielsweise der Fall, wenn ein Verdacht dazu vorliegt, dass zukünftig eine Straftat stattfinden wird.
Außerdem gibt es natürlich noch Ausnahmen. Wenn z.B. auf der Straße regelmäpig Autos angezündet wurden, dann darfst du vermutlich auch überwachen.
Ja, da hast du recht, dass hätte miterwähnen müssen. Du kannst nicht einfach die Strasse überwachen, weil du paranoid bist. Wenn es berechtigtes Interesse gibt, dann ist es mit deutlicher Kennzeichnung zulässig.
I wholeheartedly agree with this blog post. I believe someone on here yesterday was asking about config file locations and setting them manually. This is in the same vein. I can't tell you how many times a command line method for discovering the location of a config file would have saved me 30 minutes of googling.
What's imho worse is how often config options or command flags don't actually do at all what's described in the manpage. I then have to dig into the source code once again and since you have to read through the whole behaviour it takes much longer than just looking up where the program tries to read config files.
Please - if you find such wrong docs in Open source software, submit a fix to the doc. It's as important as normal bugfixes.
The *nix equivalent is the lsof command. This doesn't help you finding out in which hierarchy config files are parsed when the program accesses multiple ones, which is often the case.
You still don't know which location is preffered and how get they get merged. In my experience, digging into the source is the most straighforward. But my usual problem is more that the config option doesn't do at all what the documentation says it does.

There are many high speed stations outside of the cities in Europe? Have you traveled to at least a couple of them? The experience sucks and the extra commuter train travel to the station makes the trip longer, especially when you want to a rural area on the other site of the city, then you first have to commute to central station of the city and take the regional train from there.
HST stations only outside of the city make trains less competitive to airplanes.
