I just started playing electric bass at 55 yrs old, 1 year ago, Canadian Father's day, 2022. That's when I got my Yamaha TRBX 304.
I started out on my Oscar Schmidt Ukulele Bass about 6 months earlier, and wondered what a full size bass would feel like.
I rented one to start with and loved it. It did not easily convert from UBass to full sized, but I pushed on.
I started the Bass Buzz course and finished it in about 6 months. That's when I started recording myself play.
This is Another Brick in the Wall about 7 months ago. I was in my recording infancy so it may not sound great and my editing skills are not great. https://youtu.be/RD519-mdaTM
I'm feeling my progress and loving learning the songs I love, and even just learning the iconic runs from so many legendary songs. It's been such a blast. I only wish i"d started a long time ago.
