yungsinatra,

Hi, I've just created @beermoneyuk, inspired by /r/beermoneyuk. It's not an official port (wasn't a mod there), but I was a relatively active member of that subreddit and would like it to continue here if possible as well.

yungsinatra,

I also second combat footage and the ukraine war subreddits as well.

yungsinatra,

Is there no alternative to r/fantasy here? I've been able to find so many books and get many recommendations from there :(

yungsinatra,

r/beermoneyuk for me.. it was a good place for me to find some additional sources of online income (really helped me out this year as a student). I've created the magazine @beermoneyuk, just in case (if the mods ever show up I'll gladly give ownership to them), but I'm not sure if enough people will visit it.

OC How did you end up finding kbin? Did you migrate here from Reddit?

I was initially introduced to Mastodon a few years ago by a close friend and picked up on it quickly given the benefits of not having to deal with advertising, or being shown what a mega-corporation thought I should have to see through algorithms. I have since found a great instance over on cupoftea.social that promotes quality...

yungsinatra,

I'm a really big fan of this idea of using Kbin/Fediverse, but I've noticed that many magazines/communities (especially the ones from Lemmy) are not being updated properly on Kbin (posts/threads just straight up missing on Kbin while I can see them on the Lemmy instance). Is this a temporary issue or has this always been like this?

I put together a guide aimed at Redditors for Kbin and Lemmy! (beehaw.org)

I want to preface, if you see a mistake in the image or have something helpful to add, go right ahead! I still have the layered files for this, so edits can be made very quickly. I chose to handwrite the text to avoid font copyright infringement....

A small FAQ to hopefully help new users to kbin (kilioa.org)

I wanted to post this here since I want to help as much as I can in my own way to people coming here for the first time. I hope it is useful and helpful! I tried to assume low knowledge with the Fediverse in my responses which I collected here from a different post and assembled into a single article....

/kbin - Just Reddit Things update

Hey, once again, I welcome the newcomers. It's great to see new faces here :) It seems that we've managed to resolve the server issue. Unfortunately, I had to temporarily disable certain features, such as content auto-refresh. It will be restored at the beginning of next week after the infrastructure change, so you'll get to...
