Instead of Twitter he could have bought an island where he could relax and do all the drugs he wanted too. Just a much better setting with zero stress.
But I feel like he’d have end up as next generation’s Epstein…
They just need to delay that until all communications, financial transactions, and travel can be tracked and fed into rebellion-predicting algorithms. And they’re so close. Encryption and cash are still legal, but at least they’re stigmatized.
If it's morally wrong to work from home because not everyone can work from home, wouldn't it be morally wrong to have $250 Billion because not everyone else has $250 Billion? How much stock are you getting from your companies? Isn't it morally wrong for you to get stock when not all of your employees do? Or, how many homes do you own Elon? Isn't it morally wrong for you to own a home when not everyone else can own a home? I don't understand how anyone can think this piece of trash is intelligent when he's such an idiot in all of his interviews. His argument is totally asinine.
I always thought these were the people that, while they can’t do the work of making the things, brought the soft skills to the table… like knowing how to read the room…
CNBC host Carl Quintanilla asked Pilnick if encouraging weary customers to eat cereal for dinner could “land the wrong way.”
Pilnick thought the opposite.
“In fact, it’s landing really well right now,” Pilnick said. “Cereal for dinner is something that is probably more on trend now, and we would expect to continue as that consumer is under pressure.”
This comes off like someone who won big shorting a stock, but in this case, he’s shorting us…
Why is this amazing? It should come as no surprise that in a highly capitalist country foreign investment, of almost any kind, would be welcome. I mean we sell the rights to things that are points of national security interests, like ports, so real estate is just mundane.
Why do you think selling the land in a country is a form of self-preservation to these people? Highly capitalist and concern for others aren’t things that gel well. You are not looking at life through that lens. They don’t care about anything, or anyone, that doesn’t immediately benefit them. I mean, why care about a country, if you are rich you can simply move to another one. Why care about people, you can buy more.
If the U.S. could tax that at 1%, there would be $80,500,000,000 available for school lunches, helping the unhoused, etc. The rich would make it back in a day I’m sure.
They know of we pour out this can of worms the public will start breying for their heads and they still haven't gotten this whole bunker thing figured out.
people make fun of poor republicans but the 6 figure ones crack me up. They think they shoulder a large part of societies cost, which is true, but they think the republicans will lower it for them. But they put them where they are. The highest tax bracket is just barely in the 6 figure range. Heck the no tax range should be anything below 5 figures and the lowest bracket should be the rest of the 5 figure rang. 6 figures should be the second and 7 the third and 8 the fourth and 9 the fifth and 10 the sixth and 11 the seventh. It should apply to any income source of any kind and be about 10% each bracket.
Funny that this doesn't get seen. If it's not apparent to anyone, EVERYONE is susceptible to corruption. Hold them accountable or none of this means anything at all.
