So… The KMT won the most seats, but the DPP won the presidentship? Truly, the most efficient system of government is a FPTP system.

This is like the Canadian NDP/Liberal split that leads to the Conservatives somehow forming government despite having no support in the key urban centers (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver).

The DPP won 51 seats, the KMT won 52 seats, and the TPP won 8 seats in the 113 seat body. 2 KMT-aligned independents were also elected to the Yuan.
