In 2020, Apress published my first book, 'Arduino Software Internals'. My second, 'Arduino Interrupts' was published in Dec 2023. I'm writing another as well as a 2nd edition of 'Internals' to document recent changes.

I was stopped by the police a while back because I was driving at speed along the middle of the road.

I told them I was able to do so because I was instructed by my licence to drive. They asked to see it and I showed them where it said "tear along the dotted line"! 😁

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Thursday. Another day, another island. Currently heading to Bol on Brač island for a swim on the only Sandy beach in Croatia. Except, I won't be swimming cos I'm a grumpy old fart! 😉 MrsD will be as she lives swimming.

Well that's a bummer! Just been told that my dad, in a care home in Elgin, Scotland, is on his last legs (medical term) and if we are thinking about visiting, now would be a good time. 😟

He's had dementia for some time, so it's actually a "blessing" (definitely not the correct word!) as my dad "died" years ago. 😟

@mxtthxw My dad taught me how to fix things, which has been mostly what I've done all my life, so I won't forget.

Unfortunately, for much of my childhood he was an alcoholic which taught me not to drink too much. So I really won't forget.

This morning at 06:30 UK time, I was in a small boat inside the Blue Caves in Croatia. The blue is caused by sunlight (or full moon) reflecting off the white sand 18m underwater (yes, the water is that clear!) and into the caves.

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello to the weekend. MrsD and I are now off the "Mama Marija 2" after a week of sailing in the beautiful islands of Croatia. Currently residing in a hotel outside Split but would love to be back on the boat. We've said our goodbyes to the crew and our fellow passengers. We were a good team with nobody obnoxious, unless that was me! 😁

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Friday. Yesterday we were in Bol first, then overnight in Trogia. Today we are stopped off for a swim before heading into Split for our last day of the mini cruise. Today's random photo is from Bol and is a nice view over part of the harbour.

Bit of a party last night. The captain was celebrating his 18th wedding anniversary so a party was had. There was dancing. And no, I don't dance!

Good afternoon fellow Mastos and how are you this sunny Sunday? Yes, it's sunny. Well, I am in Croatia so that probably helps. Just up the coast from Dubrovnik. It's currently swimming time, but as I used to scuba dive the Scottish coasts, and swam for the school, I find that I can't be bothered to get in the water these days.

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Tuesday. Last night we went to bed in Korčula and this morning we are motoring up the coast to Vis, another Croation island. We have just stopped for a two hour swim break for those who like a cool bath in the morning!

We have news from home. The house sitters report that they have not started on our wine yet!

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Monday. MrsD and I are currently under way on a small boat from Slano to wherever we are going today. Departure time was 05:00 this morning which is really 04:00 to our BST enabled body clocks!
