I'm getting a lot of interest in the vocals in my TCRE track, so here's an explainer. It's a plugin by Dreamtonics called Synthesizer V, used much like using any other instrument – it doesn't sing automatically; you have to input pitch, timing, and words. Words are split into phonemes via a dictionary, and you can split or extend them across notes, all manually. The clever "AI" bit is that white pitch curve; you would never guess that's what singing pitch looks like! (read alt text)

I've finally managed to get through the whole playlist (72 songs, pant pant...). I was quite impressed with the quality, since I was expecting something more amateur-ish on average (like my crummy contribution).

Eventually, I took some notes and came up with a list of 11 tracks in particular that I liked more than the others, and so candidates for my three votes this week (I won't vote for myself).
