I must have missed that class in school, but isn’t the point of a private school is meant to be privately funded.

Oh makes sense, I went though public education so I probably wouldn’t understand.

I played Genshin Impact once when it first came. The routing from Australia to Asia was so bad that it actually routed to the US first, than back to Asia.

I actually got better ping by using a VPN to Japan or Taiwan before connecting to the game server.

Maybe Taylor Swift being a Pentagon Psy-Op holds some merit. She can even influence when exams are held in Australia 😳

Yep! They are working together to bring down conservative America as they are too woke.

(Him for telling his fans to get vaccinated, and her for telling her fans to vote.)

Bonus: Funny clip of an American conservative trying to define what “woke” means. www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7iWEEcPKoQ

micro is one of the first things I install on a new distro. I can’t live without it now.

Homelessness now 'status quo' for low-income Queenslanders, as Brisbane records highest rent, energy hikes (www.abc.net.au)

Brisbane is leading the country in the cost-of-living crisis with the highest rent, energy, health and insurance price hikes in the past year, according to a report by the Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS)....

And I don’t know how to fix it.

Insurance is going to keep going up with more and more natural disasters, either directly or indirectly caused by climate change.

Housing, not enough to go around? Social housing investment? Tax empty dwellings? Rent freezes and or caps?

Energy for home owners can be offset, albeit with a large upfront cost, solar and battery. Renters though? Queensland plan for renewable energy grid might help, but how far off is that? Can the government even take ownership of the grid?

Health. This one annoys me. From my understanding, the Liberals effectively froze the price of Medicare rebates, causing more and more doctors to go mixed billing or no bulk billing at all. People unable to afford this, go to hospital emergency rooms, clogging them up for people that really need. But I can’t blame them, cause what else can they do?

This is just me ranting. Some or all of this might not be true, so take with a grain of salt.

It is a real shame. Australia is too car-centric to care though. But I believe any infrastructure where people inhabit near by should always build or maintain an alternatives for foot and bike traffic.

Rob even shows how much noise pollution there is when he walks under a section of the road in this video.

That’s promising to see.

Also, Liberals being this tone deaf is so typical, it almost makes me want to laugh.

They have acclimatised to Australia as well. Here’s a video showing them making rafts during recent floods.

Slight horror story.

I have battery power motorised blinds. About a month ago, one of them stopped holding a charge. No problem, just keep it plugged in all the time, I thought. When I opened them yesterday, I noticed a swarm of ants on one of the windows and blind. Where did these buggers come from?

After I cleaned the swarm up, I inspected the blind. I noticed that the ants were still appearing around it. So I take the blind down. I pull the motorised end out of the aluminium tube. There I found, an entire colony of ants, nesting on and inside the motor, and down the metre long tube.

Suffice to say, I think I found the cause of why the battery no longer charged.

Going through rhetorical hell, and she doesn’t have the decency to stay and say “Hello”. I’d be pissed as well.

Hope the barefoot walk was on a colder day? Can’t imagine doing that in Summer.

I typically water my plants in the afternoon, around 5pm. In this case, I gave everything a good soak the day before.

I have found that this plant in particular doesn’t enjoy too much sunlight, so that’s why I have it hiding down the side my house. Didn’t help this time.

Sleeping in is a must, and recommended to all on every public holiday.

Have noticed I have been pretty tired all week, so wondering if Monday nearly wiped me out, so need the long weekend to recuperate.

Thanks for the info. I always thought it was 1994, but that was when all states and territories celebrated the day on the 26th.

I got to say, would have much preferred how we had it before, the closest Monday, but I digress.
