I believe reporting about events as accurately as possible helps move the world in a positive direction.
I believe voluntary mutual aid is better than imposed mutual destruction.
Resistance to oppression is inherent to all life.
Liberation can not be imposed no matter how well intended, as that only changes whose will is imposed on others.

It is very confusing and/or confused phrasing of several people of the ruling class worldwide to issue statements on the demise of the person nicknamed the Butcher of Tehran, President Raisi, saying "we stand with the government and the people of Iran" or similar.
Did they all slip when typing and meant to write "or" instead of "and"?
You stand with the brutally, mass-murderously and mass-tortuously oppressors, OR you stand with the oppressed subjects of crimes against humanity.
Both is not a valid option. The third option is to STFU.

Hatem Özdemir was captured in an armed ambush against the Geneva Conventions compliant forces of the political party PKK by Iran's counter-revolutionary guard corps (IRGC), interrogated with torture for 50 days, denied legal aid during and sentenced to being State-murdered and five years imprisonment for "enmity against God", "armed insurrection" and "membership of a terrorist group" (PKK and associated groups have been Geneva Conventions compliant since 1995, does not do acts of terrorism, but States like Turkey and its covert ally Iran, whose forces systematically frequently violate the geneva conventions and more, label them as "terrorist" for political and persecutional reasons), appealed and sentenced to be State-murdered again.

'Ebrahim Raisi, the president of the Islamic Republic and a member of the "Death Committee," died yesterday in a helicopter crash.

Honoring the memory of thousands of men and women who have fallen victim to the crimes of Ebrahim Raisi and the Islamic Republic over the past four decades, Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO) emphasizes that Raisi's death does not mean the closure of the case on his crimes. IHRNGO hopes that one day, his record, along with those of other officials of the Islamic Republic and perpetrators of crimes against humanity, will be addressed in a competent court.'

Soo, people on here are working hard to come up with conspiracy theories on the cause of the President oppressor Raisi of Iran's death.

Fine, you waste your time if you wanna, but don't overlook the very simple and therefore more probable answer that the helicopter was a Bell 212, made in Texas and bought before the CIA-instigated anti-democracy and anti-leftist coup handed over to become the authoritarian reactionary theocracy's "revolution" in 1979.
So, the helicopter was by necessity between 56 and 45 years old and there would extremely probably have been very much difficulty at least getting any spare parts for maintenance since you know... the embargo by the source-country USA would have to be breached for that to happen.

Sometimes, an old helicopter is just old and simply breaks under disfavorable conditions such as the weather there at the time.

But sure, we can never KNOW what happened, regarding anything ever, so if you wanna spend your energy on that rather than on furthering the liberatory egalitarian world revolution, that's your priority to set.
I won't.

At least one person has been arrested for posting about the death of the oppressor President Raisi of Iran online, reports the Hengaw human rights org,
naming a citizen of Turkey, Akbar Yousefi of Malekan in East Azerbaijan province of Iran (same as the crash was in) having been arrested through a house raid after posting about the crash on Instagram and taken to the city's repression force "Intelligence" Department.
Charges currently unknown.

Hengaw also mention that Akbar Yousefi is a civil rights activist and was arrested also during the "Women! Life! Freedom!"-protests sparked by the Iran-theocracy's agents killing Jîna/Mahsa Amini.

You can only influence your post-death legacy while you are still alive, through the memory of your actions living on in those still remaining and those future generations potentially told too, through which also you live on in a way, for as long as that memory remains.
Make your choices in life such that your best wish won't have to be being forgotten as quickly as possible. There is no retroactive undo or retry, that we know of.

So, I was just at the dentist, whom I believe to be from some area currently under the Iran-regime, for a scheduled appointment and had to explain that I was very tired due to almost all night direct-following the events leading up to the confirmation of the death of the Butcher of Tehran, President Raisi, to which they shared with me and the nurse that they had followed it on radio news in the car to work "...and I was like WHEEEE!!! throws hands in the air, with widest smile".

Nice to see the people happy for a moment.

@chriscoreline Prooobably not much will change.
The Vice President has already taken over and they held the first government meeting around the time that Raisi's death was publicly admitted, so now they have 50 days until they must hold a new presidential election according to the constitution, of course with the "Supreme" "Leader" having to give final approval as that is the form the theocracy takes.
Unless... something unplanned can always happen. There's always hope.

The latest from Doctors without Borders (MSF):
─────
Unprecedented flooding in Brazil leaves hundreds dead and hundreds of thousands displaced

The extreme rainfall and flooding that hit the southern Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul isolated and forced the evacuation of whole cities. Roads have been destroyed, bridges knocked out and the main airport, in the capital city of Porto Alegre, is indefinitely closed. More than 460 state municipalities, out of a total of 497, have been hit.

“The situation is catastrophic. When we arrived and travelled through the region by helicopter, we were able to view the towns from above and noticed that in some cases we couldn't even see the roofs of houses,” says Rachel Soeiro, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) medical coordinator in Brazil, emphasizing the unprecedented flooding in Brazil.

The disaster has taken a massive human toll. According to provisional data, more than 150 people died and about 100 are still unaccounted for. Many people are without water, electricity and basic services. More than two million people were impacted and over 600,000 have been displaced. [...]

There's that old saying "Kurds have no friends but the mountains", although I think it's pretty well disproven by the general public worldwide by now,
so that made me think it was appropriate that after Raisi persecuted in particular the Kurds residing under the Iran-theocracy, Raisi was apparently killed by... a mountain.

Merriam-Webster:
"martyr, 2: a person who sacrifices something of great value and especially life itself for the sake of principle"
Soo, nope, a helicopter accident does not make someone a "martyr", except possibly https://todon.eu/@b9AcE/112471462033585346 the helicopter if it sacrificed itself for the sake of principle.

I guess they just really, really have martyr complex.

In response to the people's widespread expressions of joy online over the death of the president of Iran, the "Iranian Cyber Police", a.k.a. "FATA", threatens that "we are carefully monitoring cyberspace" and warns to not publish "any content that in any way provokes and disturbs public sentiments", by which they presumably mean joy over the death of a mass-murder and mass-torture responsible oppressor.

Messages are being sent by government officials declaring presence at mourning events for President Raisi to be mandatory.

Now THAT's how you show that you know that...
...the people doesn't mourn, because the person spent their life dedicated to acting like a piece of putrid shit, responsible for politically motivated mass-murder, etc.
