@puzzled that would be a brilliant idea! Perhaps they even do such a thing on smaller lines. However Bearspaw South trunk varies in diameter along its route and is over a metre in diameter almost the whole way IIRC (2 metres at its widest in fact). Major petroleum pipelines like Keystone and TransMountain top out at 90cm and are more consistent in diameter. Any sort of pigging equipment for such a line would probably bust their budget.

That said this isn't the kind of thing that happens unless there is neglect so this is certainly cause for an Inquiry.

i'm always baffled when new things launch and they don't have a fediverse link but instead still on birdsite and maybe instagram, it feels somehow antiquated

@arturo182 @mntmn I dunno I think it really depends on the company. If they are open and community-minded and respect their customers they seem to do fine on the fediverse, even when they do not run their own instance.

The fediverse generally gets hostile when commercial accounts behave as they did on x-twitter or Facebook...just spamming with ad-like posts and limited interaction.
