Something this morning made me think on this and smile to remember it. In the very early days of #Twitter the naive girl that I was used to engage dear @darrell73 in philosophical debates. I never scored one point or won one battle but I gave it my best shot. It's a wonder he even still acknowledges me poor man. 😁🤣

Oh sweet lord of heaven. No, no, no, this is too much! I'm proof-reading a document and running it through 's grammar and spell checker and it's yelling at me saying: "inclusiveness this may imply bias against people with disabilities." It wants to change the word "mute" to "nonspeaking participants." We aren't referring to people who are mute we're talking about Zoom.

@DebbieHazelton Right Sis I don't think i'd have even noticed but for that one word. I don't know what it'll be like but I'm intrigued enough to keep an eye/ear out for it. I also know the heartbreak when an app languishes without updates or is outright abandoned too so I try to balance that with their pricing model change. For instance, I'll miss the iJew calendar app forever as it was abandoned years ago and nothing ever came close to replacing it. So I try to see both sides.

@DebbieHazelton I don't either but that's only because the experience was so bad whenever I tried to do so. Though I have bought a few titles. Peacock hugs back. Again that was the word that got my attention so we'll see. It can't be easy for any app developer to justify the investment of time in a model that generates such seemingly little remuneration. I don't envy them.

@DebbieHazelton For me I think about how much on a daily basis I actually use an app. If it becomes one of my can't be without apps I'm more inclined. I've beta tested for a weather app for years and as such I get it for free but I love it so much I still drop things in its tip jar just to support it and say thank you for the benefit I get from it; and I assure I drove the developer nuts till I could do that he by no means required it or even wanted it. But I love that app and

Wait, what?! Stop, hold the presses! Many are engaging in the typical hue and cry because is going to a subscription model. But am I the only one who noticed the reference in their announcement to forth coming ? Ooh that's an ugly mistake to make. If you think you're in an edit field but somehow focus shifts to a listview of messages in do not under any circumstance hit backspace or the message in focus will be vanquished and not to your trash or deleted items either and Control z will not undo the mishap.

Really interesting look at his work with Vocalize and Window Eyes now of course at Microsoft.
I was never a Window Eyes user. But, I certainly remember it very well as a significant rival to the JAWS Screen reader I've always used.
