A nation bound to lose almost half its landmass to the sea just decided that the course of action they wanted to vote for is “we are afraid of people that don’t look white enough”
@Schouten_B how was that movement of the 20s and 30s also not racist in your opinion? How is pointing out the racism in the ethnonationalism going to hurt fighting it exactly in your point of view ?
@jaaprood I understand the yearning to defend a progressive voting system as opposed to a winner-takes-all one and I do appreciate the importance and distinction and also I am an activist for France to switch away from first-past-the-post.
I can be all that and also write everything I just wrote. I see no contradiction there.
@jaaprood really, when the emir of Saudi Arabia by his all centralized absolute monarchical power decides something unilaterally: that nation has decided it too.
Ideally for me the decisions of the nation are better represented. But my prescription is.l not my current description.
@Mabande@jaaprood yeah France has already macron’s party doing deals with the fash as we go even with the current first-past-the-post system… it is horrid

@realn2s that’s an… impressive lèvel of organizing 🥰
It does seem a lot like my kind of content and endeavour thanks for thinking of me !
Unfortunately one of my biggest flaws is that I cannnot stand camping (I’m working on that because a lot of cool organizing like this happens mostly in camps)
