While I try to get it fixed somehow (only way I see at the moment is an repair cafe) I work with 2 display I scavenged.

Nothing easier than that I thought, simply buy a USB-C dock with two HDMI ports. Boy was I wrong.

It works fine on Linux.

On Windows both display use the same resolution which leads to a distorted image on the higher resolution display.

On #MacOS both external screens show the same image. This is said to be a limit of MacOS but I have a hard time believing this. I can add a second USB-C to HDMI Adapter and both external displays just work fine. Additionally it should be possible daisy chain thunderbolt displays. So it feels rather like an artificial technical issue. E.g. the vendor would need to use different more expensive chip (or really use Thunderbolt).

Can anyone #Recommenced a Dock which supports two or more display on MacOS?

There seems to be a "normal", Mini and a Pro.

The Dock supports Power Delivery?

Sadly, it looks like only the Mini is still available in Germany 😠

    2 Economist uses excels “autofill” function to “generate” data for a published paper and saw no issue doing that!

Economics is the only "science" where the data is regularly adjusted to the model.

If you have a theory and following the theory didn't lead to the promised result you either applied it wrong or not enough.. the theory can't be wrong

AFAIK this is a core trait of the Austrian method and the Chicago school and therefore the foundation of today's Neoliberalism

For data falsification in an individual level I agree. But for the "science" as a whole, i think nothing compares to economy

Anekdotische Evidenz, aber mit scheint die aktuelle Variant krass ansteckend ist. Bei mir sind im patchwork-Familienumfeld 4/5 krank. Über mindestens 2 Infektionswege. Zeitweise jetzt schon eine Woche durchgehen positive Tests.

Ich bin das restliche 1/5 😬🤞🏻
(Wobei eher 😷 passend wäre)

Bei meiner Partnerin gibt es verschiedene Möglichkeiten. Sie hatte einen 2 Tage Workshop und ist da jeweils mit den Zug hin gefahren. Sie hatte da manchmal keine Maske auf weil der Zug leer war 😬. Beim Workshop selbst war es wohl eher nicht, zumindest habe ich von keinen weiteren erkrankten Teilnehmer gehört.
Die Bahnfahrten würden auch eine Inkubationszeit von 2-3 Tagen erlauben.

An Samstag waren wir noch auf der Demo und Essen, da habe ich zugegeben maßen auch nicht konsequent Maske getragen. Das würde aber nur weniger Stunden Inkubationszeit geben. Da sie Samstag Abend anfing ihr schlecht zu gehen.

Der zweite Weg kam über meine Tochter. Ich denke also Schule. Der ging es Dienstag schon so schlecht das die nicht reiten gehen wollte (und das ist sehr ungewöhnlich). Vermutlich hatte sie das auch schon Fieber. Sie hat dann nachts bei ihrer Mutter geschlafen und kam am nächsten Tag nach der Schule zu mir.
Da haben wir dann einen Test gemacht

Ihre Mutter und ihr Partner sind seit Freitag bzw Donnerstag positiv. Und in ihrer Klasse fehlen auch noch einige andere Kinder krankheitsbedingt

Für mich ist es auch noch mal Ansporn wieder konsequenter Maske zu tragen. Auch wenn ich der Einzige bin und auch trotz "frischer" Impfung (ist aber wieder 3 Monate her, s.d. der Impfschutz nachlässt ☹️)
