A native Floridian, I am fascinated by all forms of musical expression, but I cut my teeth on heavy metal. My first five shows were Dio, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Megadeth, and Exodus. I am an avid progger and free / classical jazz man, too. I welcome and encourage discussion.

While I'd say I am political, I make it a point to discuss such things on my blog, which I'll be setting up shortly.

I am a music gear nerd and Linux expert, questions are always welcome.

I write notes to myself on my calendar for things on future days. Many times, they turn out to be really useful, and I totally would've forgotten to do whatever it was I wrote down. But other times, I have to try and figure out what the hell past me was talking about

@sehnsucht @jake4480 @BlackenedGreen The Canadian / American game has evolved somewhat. I don't think the brutality is as common now as it used to be. Regardless, I've always appreciated the skill and finesse game more...

However, the influx of European players has been a good thing. At the height of its popularity in the United States, hockey was sometimes a WWE grudge match. As in, too much theater...

I've accepted that streaming services like Hulu will never give me a simple playlist option so I could just load it with my favorite episodes from my favorite shows and let it run (and not have to constantly fucking select them).

I also reserve the right to be forever annoyed about this

@HailsandAles I certainly do have some input. I support The Atlanta Braves. Not only are they my childhood team, they're simply one of the best and most sustainable organizations in MLB. They've been very successful under the reign of GM Alex Anthopolous and the Liberty Media ownership group. Also, they have a core of players locked up for at least 5 or 6 more years, including Ronald Acuna Jr. Their players love the vibe in the dugout and locker room. The Braves are the oldest franchise in MLB!

@jake4480 Re-makes often are. A great film is timeless, so you shouldn't have to re-make it. It's bullshit really. Can you imagine someone trying to re-make 'Airplane'? Couldn't believe they tried it with 'Halloween'...
