Do you name your computers and if so, what theme do you use? Iβve been naming mine after #FinalFantasy summons for around 15 years π€ #networkadmin#maker
SerialProject, a Japanese independent studio formed in 2023 and consisting of just two core members, has announced SerialWorld, a βcomedic yet serious RPGβ and deckbuilder coming to PC via Steam in 2025. It will support both English and Japanese language options....
#FFXIV#Dawntrail Job Action Trailer
PLD: Giant swords, I'll take it!
SMN: Looks awesome as always. New summon! (Shiva?)
BRD: Kind of underwhelmed, needs a coolness upgrade still
RDM: Ooh pretty!
Pictomancer spell effects look unique and fun!
SCH: Transforming into a fairy form is that new??
BLM: Moved their Leylines but I see yet another gage on screen. Maybe BLM still not for me.
Anyone playing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes? I just finished it on PC with an SSD and the option to turn the aggressive depth of field off. I hear the Switch and PS4 versions are kinda rough....
I think that are very great news. Everyone should be able to play their games regardless of the plattform. Square Enix is one of the biggest publisher of jrpgβs, with a lot brands that are often exclusive to ps (FF16, FF7, Forspoken) or sometimes to switch as well (Octopath traveler, Triangle strategy). It kind of frustrate me...
Iβve been playing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and the Suikoden vibe is completely there. I loved that game world, its mythos, the soft connections between the games. It contributed to the inspirational vibe, too....
More terrifying than any first-time dungeon: musical performances. And I used to do these IRL, some just with a piano accompaniment - and those were terrifying too.
Apparently fictional audiences bring back that feeling.
But it's done and I hope I don't have to repeat that again. I still remember my hideous performance during the "be a conductor" Starlight event...π
@beanjbunny Purple hair is amazing though, with or without a cry for help. But if you do need help, I do hope you manage to reach out and receive it (preferrably to a skilled professional, best equipped to help you) β€οΈ
@doqunbop aww, youβre really nice, thank you~ Thatβs a kind hearted thing to say. Whatever I have going on is mostly manageable with purple hair dye.
Have to say, as much as I'm looking forward to #DawnTrail (starting an Ascian-free story, huzzah), I'm not sure how I feel about a neon-lit street in a fantasy setting.
The Allagans had advanced tech but in the distant past. The Garleans tried to harness it but imploded, due to...leadership issues.
"Solution Nine" is jarringly futuristic, considering my main is into magicks and swords.
@FibroJedi It makes patently no sense, but then again, a lot of genre conventions in other genres and series make no sense either β I personally read the contrast between high and modern fantasy as being quintessential to what Final Fantasy is, but that's again just me.
@FibroJedi (Notable partial exception here being FFXVI, which Yoshi-P said was intended to explicitly buck that trend. Even then, it winds up having ancient civilizations that follow the trend, and has plot points directly calling out the contradiction. To say more would be massively spoiler-y.)
