I often have to kind of laugh at the fact that I am living proof you can’t indoctrinate gender or sexuality. I was raised in an extremely religious environment. Went to church every Sunday. Bible study every Wednesday. Went to Christian schools from 1st-10th grade. Vacation Bible school. My adopted father was in Promise Keeper’s. Consumed Focus on The Family content. I wasn’t allowed to listen to secular music. Deep in purity culture. All of it.

Still came out gay, atheist, and trans lol

"Paris has closed more than 100 streets to motor vehicles, tripled parking fees for SUVs, removed roughly 50,000 parking spots, and constructed more than 1,300 kilometers of bike lanes since Mayor Anne Hidalgo took office in 2014. Those changes have contributed to a 40% decline in air pollution..."

What words do you think capture the zeitgeist of the year so far?

We're about halfway through 2024 (ack!), so I want to get a jump on collecting candidates for the word-of-the-year vote in December.

What do you think the 2024 word of the year should be?

I've added a little experimental modification to one of the PlasmaTrap workers :neocat:
You may not notice any difference, or it will be slightly faster. Just using it to collect data about whether it's worth doing currently.

University of Maryland Study: N95 masks block almost all airborne COVID-19.

"In a head-to-head comparison of masks worn by people with active COVID-19, the inexpensive "duckbill" N95 came out on top, stopping 98% of COVID-19 particles in the breath of infected people from escaping into the air."

"Led by researchers from the University of Maryland School of Public Health (SPH), results showed other masks also performed well, blocking at least 70% of viral particles from escaping from the source – an infected person's exhaled breath."

In some cases, activities in eskinitas make it feel safer and more interesting.

"Celebrities and billionaires have long complained that it’s just way too easy for random people on the internet to monitor how much fuel exhaust they waste as they flit through the skies via their private jets."

And just like that, Congress moved heaven and earth to accommodate them, as it always does.

Legislation just signed into law has made it exceedingly to difficult to track private jet activity
