I'm not much of a movie buff and I hated most 3D stuff as it was completely disposable. Didn't hold up when you weren't wearing clunky glasses in an overpriced cinema...

But the long swooping shot down to the house, after the title in Tron: Legacy... it's brilliant.

Takes you from the digital future to the analogue past, and from the scale of the entire grid to the scale of a bedroom, in one shot.

Our electronic access system is being changed at work. New system has an optional phone gesture based on opening a doorknob. Such a missed opportunity.

A whole generation would have swooned for a Swish And Flick, for a start.

But why not voice commands? So many possibilities...

Naismith had a rough week. Vet visit, weird reaction to some sedative, didn't sleep for over 24 hours, and Vyvyan didn't like how he smelled so she hissed at him for two days.

He's cleared of anything super scary, they're back to playing and grooming as normal, but it was a bad time and my poor little buddy has needed lots of scritches.

@mpesce ahhh but kids today have grown up listening to low bitrate streams of loudness-war-era tracks on overpriced headphones that use mega bass to compensate for el cheapo drivers... so it makes sense that cassettes will sound OK to them.

I long for the olden days when a government of any stripe was competent at doing government.
