I think this is wishful thinking, and this year will have some very rough edges just as it has the past handful of years.
No other country is forecasting a rosy 2024. But nobody thinks its the end of the world, either.
2024 won't be as bad as the hopelessness everyone universally felt during lockdown. And we've all given up on fancy restaurants for now (unless it's on the customer's bill... ahem.)
So yup, that's a long way to say you're right. Nobody is going to be praising the luxe of 2024, but we'll get through and come out of it better than we did from lockdown.
