A dear friend of mine (and the best man at my wedding some 13 years ago) is now an #EveOnline streamer of some renown.
A while back he lost his father to prostate cancer. So, in a little over 20 minutes, he’s starting a 24 hour charity fundraising stream for one of the leading UK cancer charities.
He’s going to be building a #Lego Porsche 911, a project that his late father started but never finished.
The space battle game #EVEOnline is officially integrating Microsoft Excel into the game. This is hilarious and very fitting. Spreadsheet gamers are going to have a field day with this feature.
Now #Factorio should integrate LibreOffice Calc in response.
I, for one, am looking forward to reading about how an #excel plugin was critical in the downfall of a major #EvEOnline player alliance in the coming months 😂
I started out dropping these depots off wanting to be a cunt to any transphobes playing #eveonline . I've got a few bits of hate mail telling me I'm not human (as if that's an insult).
But then there's these messages, and my little bit of trolling has turned into something else.
Someone wrote to me expressing their fear of living in Florida, and I just kinda broke down and cried for a bit because I can't do jack shit beyond tossing a few bucks to some charities and being a space asshole.
@Adorable_Sergal As someone who’s spent untold time in EVE dropping rescue caches all over wormhole space I approve of anything that makes capsuleers lives better and fighting transphobes is way up there. Good work!

@technopagan Is this the beginning of a more comprehensive player driven mission system? Will corps some day be able to offer Projects to non-corp members? Like a more general version of shipping contracts.
