Made entirely from 1x2 pine. Ripped into thirds for the shelf slats. Pocket holes. Glue. Brads and glue for the shelf slats....

I was cleaning out an old bookshelf and came across this 2003 Grizzly catalog. Coincidentally, I’d just received a 2023 mailer. I was shocked by the increases in price....

I built this garden shed to hold potting supplies and lawn tools for my bonsai garden. It was a fun exercise playing with the nail gun and I didn’t even stab myself. The shed definitely is not plumb or square, but it hasn’t fallen over yet so I’m pleased.

I’m sorry if this is not in the spirit of the community, but I figured my dad would know because of his experience woodworking, and I don’t want to ask him for obvious reasons. I’m happy to remove it if it doesn’t fit....

What’s a good basic table saw? I look at them online and can’t really tell much a difference. I’m tempted to just get a harbor freight one but know the fence will probably be loose and other annoyances…...

The Kumiko lamp is finally finished. It took the longest time to wait for the arrival of the power cable, light and light socket (e14). I like it so much that I will probably make it again for myself, haha....

Minwax has ruined enough of my projects. I’m looking for recommendations for wood finishing products, particularly stains and wiping varnishes, that actually work, are readily available on the East coast of the United States, and are not manufactured by Sherwin-Williams.

Full disclosure: I didn’t make the clock hands, I just bought them off Amazon....

Nothing too fancy and not super precise, basically cut a strip of wood to size with a hand saw and made notches for the pieces to fit together using the same hand saw and a chisel. :)

I’ve found my finishing problem: I’m building things out of pine....

Hi there! I’m confused with this one… I’ve got these plywood squares that I had to drill a bunch of holes in. Despite using a low speed on my drill and adding masking tape (below) there’s still pretty nasty tear out on nearly all holes. (EDIT: These are not through holes, this is for crochet square blocking boards. Metal...

Until fairly recently I owned just one router. I bought it, immediately installed it in the table it came with, and it has come out of the router table exactly once since then to cut a couple slots. I have since bought one of those little “trim routers” but I still do the bulk of my routing work in the table....

Was playing around with some Ai generated banner for another community and thought it would be interesting to see what would happen if I tried Lemmings doing woodworking....

He wanted a big cutting board with juice drainage in the center which is why it has the “X” in it. Not 100% happy with it, but it’s good enough.
