I just made this one. I envision it basically being the same as the subreddit. It's truly amazing all the weird scenarios people can come up with, and I love answering them especially if I can do it in a sciency kind of way.

If you want a parallel universe experience, try an FM Towns. They are x86 based were introduced in 1989 in Japan and ran through the 1990s. While they do run DOS, they have their own custom windowing system with a focus on MIDI audio/visual production using both a built in FM synth and PCM sampled wave form....

My first exposure to NetHack was a truncated DOS port on a dial-up modem from a local BBS. Took the better part on an afternoon to download, as I recall. And since it predated both gopher and the web, I was flying completely blind and “unspoiled”. I died a lot....
