Spurs will never win anything and they’re gonna get to the point where any self respecting manager or player will avoid them like the plague.
Cheering your team losing and not getting into the Champions League is truly pathetic and no one at that club will see success unless that mentality changes.
It’s pretty wild that their current manager and two of their very recent former managers have all criticized the club’s and the fans’ mindset. Not a good sign at all. There are some profound psychological problems at that club.
This is so dumb. Imagine if Vettel (as an example) wrote an autobiography and he was forbidden from having pictures containing any TR/RB/Ferrari/AM branding. Surely this isn’t enforceable.
Damn, I really wish it had worked out for him with us. Excellent player with a fantastic attitude. But it seems like he couldn’t really adapt to Arteta’s strategies (specifically the inverted fullback role).
Yep, it’s a shame because I felt he offered something different, but it wasn’t enough for what Arteta needed to take us to the next level. Hopefully Emery puts a bid in for him though, as he was originally an Emery acquisition.
I think there’s a lot of incredibly talented people, individually, on that team. But they don’t seem to click well together. There’s a couple of them that should be jettisoned, even if to just open up some space to get more depth through the 3 and 4 lines. And to get those gosh darn special teams going.
My biggest to fire list would actually include the athletic trainers and conditioning team. They need a new strategy there. Especially when it comes to goaltender conditioning.
At least you guys have hope. I’m a wild fan. I’ll tell you where we finish next year. A playoff near miss or first round exit. The same as every year, followed by another middling pick that brings us squarely to another middling season. Repeat.
Matthews, Marner, Reilly, Nylander, that’s a hell of a core. Not to mention the secondary pieces, and Knies looks like he has potential.
I would much rather have seen the Leafs move on than another Boston win. Barf.
