@UlrikeSkadir@jezlyn@alexa488 I tried it just to see if it would work, and it does work sort of, but I would probably not keep them upside down like this for long-term storage. I think folks (I think including @jezlyn) have designed 3-D printed storage trays that would work a lot better. Personally, I only have a few, so I’ll just keep them in a separate box with other oddly shaped small bottles.
Big delivery of #FountainPens from China today! From R-L: Majohn P139 with a big, fat #8 nib & ebonite feed; Tramol National(?) with a Jowo nib; Admok M800 with a Schmidt nib; Majohn A1; Jinhao Dadao 9013; a bonus Hero 58 thrown in for free with the Tramol; and a funky ink syringe. All with fine nibs, which I hadn't realised I'd done but am completely okay with, especially on the A1!
@paradoxmo I always forget the Realo exists. The Tramol seems pretty decent. It’s a bit bigger than a standard Pro Gear, but some parts are interchangeable. The PG cap will fit on the Tramol body, although you can’t screw it all the way down because of the larger nib, but the Tramol’s won’t fit on the PG, and the sections can be swapped, but the std int converter is too long to fit in the PG body. The plastic seems to be pretty decent quality, too.
@alexa488 the Senator is basically my platform for shimmer inks so perhaps that Kyoto no Oto shimmer you sent me? in my samples pile I also have Rainbow’s End from last year’s inkvent, and Robert Oster Rose Gilt Tynte.
The black Platinum I got secondhand and I’m planning to put the nib in my special edition Procyon. I’ll probably test with a safe ink first like maybe Pilot Blue-black
Picked up a couple of cheap #FountainPens on eBay over the past week, one of which is this Pierre Cardin ballpoint & fountain pen set. They were marked as oversized, but I hadn't realised just how huge they were! It's only a fraction smaller than the gargantuan Kanwrite Mammoth, with a roughly #8½ sized steel nib. It writes okay, but it's very dry. With a bit of tuning it should be quite nice. No idea what model these are. I couldn't find anything resembling these in my searches.

@paradoxmo@timelordiroh thanks. On holiday this week, so I am a bit slow at picking these up. So yes, if you need to keep track of pens, inks, and what you’ve used (and more) that’s the best place to go to.

Also, after a falling to the floor mishap, fishie pen rest is back (: fixed with 2-part epoxy.
@paradoxmo Not quite my speed, but I appreciate both the post, and the variations in the ink.
I am not particularly a fan of the color, mostly because a vaguely similar ink (color verse comet SL9) has not been kind to me in a variety of pens, but I do love nuance, and your swatch has it in spades.
@_ I can’t super imagine using it that often and certainly not in my normal F/EF pens. I think more inky pens like this fude or the Pilot Parallels really bring out its qualities, so I would perhaps use it for letters (for which I tend to use very wet pens like Pelikans) or a heading pen (stub or similar).
The ink was from my Secret #FPSanta so it wasn’t my own pick, but though I probably wouldn’t have bought it myself, I’m glad to have it. All the standard line Herbins are pretty interesting.
Hello, fountain pen peeps. For those of you who have a Diplomat Aero, how do you find the grip? I tried one and felt it was too slippery and had to exchange it for a different pen. I really like the look of it, especially the flame version, but the metal grip didn't work for my small hands. ☹️ I'm also interested in the Elox Matrix Green (is it discontinued?), but it looks like it has the same metal grip. #FountainPens#Diplomat
Bottom arc of pens are from the Kakuno "family" set, each color has a different nib face design (L-R Pink, Blue, Green, Red, Cyan). Top pen is a typical Kakuno EF.
What can I say, they're fun. The world needs more fun. What's life without whimsy?
Unfortunately the "family" pens aren't available with EF nibs but this does let me finally branch out and try the other sizes.
