Man darf mich wirklich nicht unbeaufsichtigt "shoppen" gehen lassen... Eigentlich wollte ich beim "großen A" nur DVD-Rohlinge und Papierhüllen suchen, dabei bin ich dann aber auf ein 5er Paket #Jinhao619 gestoßen. Das Paket #PlasticFantastic für unter 11 Euro - da konnte ich doch nicht einfach so weitergehen! 🙄😁
Ich hab mir gedacht, die beiden eher recht grell-hässlichen Pens in blau/gelb nehme ich, um neue oder selbst gemischte Tinten auszuprobieren. Wenn die anderen einigermaßen zuiverlässig funktionieren, landen sie in den Taschen für die Sofortbildkameras. Plastik zu Plastik passt, und so muss ich dann nicht immer umpacken.
Ach, ja: Beim Stöbern ist mir dann noch ein #Parker Quink #BlueBlack Tintenglas untergekommen. Preis: unter EUR 7,-- für 57ml... gleich mal eins mitgenommen, denn ein schönes #BlauSchwarz suche ich ja noch.
Auch das waren 300ml zum Hammerpreis. Und, da ich auch für meine "Allday"-Tinten in Königsblau weg von den (zweifelsohne sehr guten!) Schneider 6801- Einwegpatronen hin zum Nachfüllen aus dem Tintenglas wollte, habe ich die Gelegenheit mal genutzt. :wink:
Naja, mein Mann wird dann wieder mal die Augen verdrehen, wenn der Paketzusteller nächste Woche kommt... :wink:
I need to pack fountain pens for a big pen meet on Saturday. I don't really have a theme or anything to follow. Maybe I'll bring my Sailor Pro Gear Slim minis and Jinhao 82 minis, because they're cute. Plus the pen case of currently inked pens. And some vials of ink samples to share.
You know your household is embodying recycling and reuse when your partner saves the blue roll used to pack up some pottery and puts it with the kitchen roll and they you use it to fill your fountain pen. Still got black fingertips though. #FountainPens #ReduceRepairReuseRecycle
Tangentially related to #FountainPens — I was watching the latest Jet Pens video (https://youtu.be/iMus9pyICXU?t=269) & it mentioned the Sakura Writoll dual-knock pencil. It reminded me of my old Pentel Technica-X PW45 from the early-mid 2000's that also has a dual knock. It was a great pencil for carrying in my pocket at work since it would never stab me when I sat down. What other dual knock mechanical pencils are out there? Why don't we see more of these?
This is, hands down, the most beautiful #fountainpen in my collection at the moment. It is a Ryan Krusac Studios Legend L-16 "Kraken" fitted with a Fountain Pen Revolution 14kt gold Ultra Flex nib with an ebonite feed and inked up with Namiki Blue. The scrimshaw body is naturally shed moose antler (not something I'd usually be into but it makes an amazing canvas and feels lovely), the cap is Bolivian rosewood, and the section is ebonite. I am madly in love with this pen and so happy I added it to my collection.
Ab sofort sind auch meine Fotos wieder hier auf Friendica zu finden. Ich ziehe sie in kürzer wieder hierher um. Entschuldigung, aber ein Pixelfed-Profil nur für meine Bilder anzulegen, ist wohl doch eine Art Schnapsidee gewesen. Grundsätzlich halte ich Pixelfed zwar für eine tolle Einrichtung, jedoch, die Kommunikation mit dem Rest des Fediverse funktioniert eher spärlich bis holperig.
Dieser Account allein, hier auf meiner eigenen Friendica-Instanz, soll mir für die Zukunft genügen, um über #Photography#Fountainpens und das (analoge) #Schreiben... zu schreiben. 😉

Ok, just for your information: My photos can now be found here on Friendica again. I'll move the few files back from Pixelfed to here next days. Sorry, but creating a Pixelfed profile just for my pictures was probably a kind of crazy idea. In principle, I think #Pixelfed is a great facility, but to me communication with the rest of the Fediverse seems rather sparse to bumpy. And unfortunately the search function as it currently works is not enough for me
So this account here, on my own Friendica instance, should be enough for me in the future to write about Photography Fountainpens and the (analog) writing.. 😉👋
Comparison between Pelikan 140 (c. 1960) and Pelikan M400 (c. 2010), both green-striped.
The color of the 140 has faded from age and sun exposure, but you can see that near the section, there is about a centimeter of stripe that would usually be under the cap and wouldn't be exposed to direct sunlight. So the color there is actually much closer to the modern M400.

What I think this means is that when the 140 was new it would have looked much like the M400 does now, and the way that Pelikan made this material hadn't changed for over 60 years until the change to opaque material a few years ago. #Vintage#FountainPens
