@ai6yr @firefly Yikes. Here’s another source, in case WaPo is paywalled: Bird flu virus found in pasteurized milk, though officials maintain supply is safe https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/bird-flu-virus-found-pasteurized-milk-though-officials-maintain-supply

@tiamat271 @ai6yr @firefly "fragments of the bird flu virus had been detected in some samples of pasteurized milk "

Frangments, not the whole virus. So pasteurization seems to be doing its job.

Folk drinking raw milk should rethink things.

Absolutely. I was surprised when I recently found out one of my favorite comic book artists (Don Newton) died that way.

ai6yr,

@cainmark @mjf_pro @CStamp @tiamat271 @firefly 😬

Though, the number of people who died before pasteurization was apparently quite a few. And apparently they used to adulterate milk with nastiness 🤢

Ah yes. The scene from 2012 where John Cusack busts into his ex-wife's place to scoop them up into his limo and yells "When they tell you not to panic THAT's WHEN YOU RUN."

(Rodney Dangerfield chuckle while adjusting collar) Right?

ai6yr,

Where do you keep the pestilence here?
I asked the grocer, pardon me
Where is that viral stuff, next to the beer?
Oh he says, the bird flu's in the milk, next to the Brie

ai6yr,

Bird flu in the chicken
Bird flu in the eggs
Bird flu in my dairy milk
Thus the question begs

How soon until it jumps to humans
And makes us more than cry?
And when we get that bird flu bug
Will we finally be able to fly?
