One day, I'll visit here with some company. As a lone woman, I try to leave here before sunset because at this time of day, by the time I climb back up the very steep hill trail and walk back to where there are lots of people, it is dark. I'm glad I "chanced" a later time, but still couldn't linger to see how the sky might change. I loved the mist and the rock silhouettes. Straight ahead is the Pacific; behind, to the right, the Golden Gate Bridge.

i miss reading restaurant reviews on people's blogs. i hate reading them in google maps / yelp. absolutely no personality. maybe i'll go back to posting restaurant reviews on my own blog as well

And we have folk who deny science while typing their post on their cell phone to a social media platform dependent on computers and the internet and cell towers.

And we have filthy rich feeding and depending on those people so they can continue to rape and pillage the planet, with unsustainable growth, for profit they can never spend.

This is the dilemma.

@Green_Footballs The very whacked American idea of free speech. Every kid grows up knowing that they can't say whatever they want without consequence. Adults now not only expect to be able to mouth off however they want, with no consequence, but feel they deserve an audience. He is the worst: money, power, arrogantly thinking that his way is the only way, and way too much influence. Delusions of grandeur.

There is a corner of "Travel YouTube" where there is no voiceover, just subtitles, and the occasional voices from servers and food/lodging hosts… and it's delightful. I notice my breathing and heart-rate slowing.

I contrast this with how I watch 'normal' videos. I have decided I need to watch more of these more often.

@poligraf @palestine Also, as a followup question, how can they even be close with the Hamas deaths? A Hamas body in rubble, buried beneath rubble, blown to smithereens, so no body, don't have neon signs over them. It's not a video game with a bubble popping up telling you that you killed an opponent. Based on their behaviour, they decided this was an acceptable number in which to justify mass slaughter.
