I believe in its views and principles. But unfortunately, under the current leadership, the Labour Party has let me down. I can no longer be part of this institution after its support of an apartheid state that is killing thousands of innocent people.

I know some people think they have to vote Labour to get rid of the Tories - and they're right, because of the rigged FPTP system we live under - but people of conscience should take every measure possible to ensure their majority is tiny.

@rayhindle I'd like them to be forced to work with every opposition party, most particularly the SNP (and the Greens, obvs). If Plaid gets enough representation (which they almost certainly won't because of FPTP), they should get equal billing with SNP. Lib Dems can go fuck themselves - Yellow Tories that they are.
@Thebratdragon@Roadwarrior29 After many years of being an e-reader refusenik, I bought one a while back. Despite loading it with hundreds of books, I hardly ever touch it, for the exact reasons I never got one in the first place - I don't get on with reading for long periods on a screen. It's now gathering dust in the tech drawer of my desk.
@fkamiah17@Roadwarrior29 I use a samsung tablet as it can read with apps any format, and the screen is much more adjustable, and its cheaper than a dedicated reader and lets me #NEWAL at the same time.
@Thebratdragon@Roadwarrior29 Yeah, but if I took all the books out of my house, there'd be nothing left except plants, instruments and crafting materials 🤣
@fkamiah17@Roadwarrior29 the other reason I switched was about 15 years ago, I did the first of 4 moves in that period, and shifting that many books (one transit van load of fiction by weight on the first move) meant I had to do something. So E Reader all the fiction that did not have physical value to me (gifts, certain authors etc.) as an act of self defence.

I hear that. My most recent house move was painful enough and I didn't have half so many. However, the only way I'm leaving my current house is in a box, so it's no longer an issue!
