@davidho My skepticism is not primarily based on MS (tho a certain amount is likely deserved given how the company behaved under him), but related to his overall harmful influence on K12 public ed. I don't know as much around his involvement in public health or climate though his general ideological outlook and arrogance gives me concern.
@davidho As with public ed, I see he does support some good things with public health and climate, but do see a bias towards techno or business solutions and possibly undermining more public, democratic problem solving - which certainly aligns with his ideology. In public ed, I (and many public ed scholars and practitioners) see a net negative impact. It's less clear to me in these other areas.

His seemingly skeptical views on renewables and more positive views on natural gas don't seem aligned with general scientific consensus.
BG seems to be a huge fan though.
@davidho@dgodon uhm, such a comment may be acceptable just if you're trying to obtain some funds from him. and, no, even in this case, it woundn't be acceptable to say such things.
