You know that Mastodon truncates links so they don’t count towards the char count, right? You don’t need to use a URL shortener for any reason
It’s actually disingenuous as well, because how do we know where those links go? All we see is bit.ly which could go ANYWHERE. How can we trust you’re actually posting what you claim when you use a service often used to redirect people to malicious content?
