Before Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind there was Daggerfall, the second entry in what has become a household name for fantasy RPGs. The original is available on Steam and GOG, though 23 years later we have a modern remake in the form of Daggerfall Unity which brings in modern graphics, controls, QoL improvements and mod support...
Minetest started as a FOSS version of Minecraft and has grown into an entire platform that you can run other games inside. It runs on Windows, Mac, FreeBSD, Linux, Android, and probably more. I’ve only given it a quick play but I’ve seen a few posts praising it for being what Minecraft used to be, so if you miss the good old...
I’ve not played the latest Sims games, but I’m sure like a lot of you I played and enjoyed the originals a lot back in the day. Much like CK2 last week I’m sure it’s only free so they can tempt you into buying lots of expansions, but the base game itself looks alright. Anyone played this one enough to offer any insight?
I have a few codes for mobile games I won’t use and wanted to share it with anyone who is interested in using. The only requirement I ask is if you use a code please comment so other people will be aware that the code was used. Hope you enjoy....

Post-apocalyptic RPG for Windows, free for two weeks on Robot Cache. I’ve never heard of Robot Cache before, looks like it might be a blockchain gimmick but hey, they’re giving away a free game. Careful what details you give them if you don’t think they’re trustworthy....
A few normally-paid Android games currently available for free on Google Play, though they all seem to still contain ads and/or microtransactions so I don’t know if the premium part is basically a scam. Comment if you can be bothered to investigate, I know I can’t!...
I’m going to break my own rule and post some games which are always free under the [Always-Free Friday] tag - if the reception is entirely negative then I’ll stop and never do it again! I saw this post in !games compiling a few always-free/pay-what-you-want roguelikes. Some are on Steam, some Google Play, some itch.io, but...
