A colleague is currently in #Iran, visiting family and taking care of the cancer treatment for a parent.
And despite 300+ drones and rockets being fired, what you don't see on Mastodon are: No discussion of the social cost of Iran's weapon programs. No concern how the military escalation by the Iranian government might endanger Iranians. Hardly any concern for the Israelis being targeted.
Only a lot of shitty "But the west" takes, most devoid of empathy.
