Anyone else getting hit with a lot of #spam today - much of it in #Japanese? Or is it just me? Sad to see that #Mastodon has reached this point in its evolution as a mainstream platform now...
The very definition of a spambot network, sending the same nonsensical message again and again.
It seems the 'misskey' software that is used by all these instances has a major security issue, that was left unpatched on the servers used by the spambot.
These target users (at least on SDF) that have been active in Japanese discussions and threads. It's a mess.
