Motorcycles

PrunesMakeYouPoop, in Visiting family near Anchorage, Alaska. The wife and I took the dual sports for a two night stay in Denali. Motorcycles are the best way to do sightseeing and hiking.

Pretty bikes, pretty view. How lucky you are.

So cool that she was able to do it!

My friends and I were on a weekend motorcycle trip on the Olympic Peninsula in WA state. We pulled into a gas station for fuel.

There was a young woman on a kitted out ADV getting gas there too. We chatted for a few minutes. She told us she was a few weeks into a trip around the world on her motorcycle and gave us stickers.

She complimented the plywood racks I made for my motorcycle.

So cool that I got to meet her!

For anyone wondering, she did it on a 2020 Kawasaki Versys X-300.

Deftdrummer, in Bet purchase I ever made for my bike.

Oh nice, another subscription.

PrunesMakeYouPoop,

I would agree, but it's cellular data which is not free. You get what you pay for it's cheaper than a stolen motorcycle.

neshient, in I went to my first Bike Night today.

I've yet to go to a bike meet up as a fairly new rider myself but getting greeted by other riders while on the road is a pretty unique feeling.

I love that the commercial knew my brother in law drives like an idiot.

It reminds me of that old Honda riding instructions Engrish thing that circulated a few years ago.

Pretty bike! I love beemer bikes. You can find older ones for a reasonable price and they are incredibly well built. I just finished rebuilding an 04 R1150R and an 02 R1150GS over the last six months. Parts are readily available and there is so much existing knowledge documented in various forums and threads to fix pretty much anything on them.

mack123,

Awesome. The R1150R is a lot of bike for the money. Love those. I have been tempted to get a GS, but the stable is full at the moment. Well done.

Thie K1300R was almost a purely emotional choice. I needed one from the moment I saw the launch poster. I got this one for an affordable price, because everyone wanted the S1000RR and old K bikes have terrible resale value.

I am also keeping an 1983 K100, in RT full fairing trim, on the road My local agent's parts guy found most of what I needed over the years. Even things like dash panels can still be found new.

I love these BMW bikes and would own one if I were an experienced rider. Perhaps I’d be able to get one in the future though.

I am looking through some older bike pics to see what was interesting. This is my K!300R, 2009 model. I have been the steward of this fine machine since 2017 and so far it has treated me well. The most fun thing about it is the on/off nature of the power. It is either cruise around nicely, or take your face off as it roars.

Beautiful machine. I have always loved the engine configuration. Unfortunately parts and service are to much of a challenge here in South Africa.
