Those clouds weren't playing. It's pouring at the moment. I'll wait until it clears up a bit, which seems likely in next half an hour looking at the clouds.
I'm ready, the motorcycle is ready, just waiting out the rain. It'll probably catch me on the way, but that's alright.

I remember this ride clearly. It was the beginning of the COVID Era, and I was still working in-person in a customer service role. I was finishing up my degree. I took a ride out to a local state park with some empty roads running through it and did some sightseeing. I had my first "close call" when an oncoming car driver failed to notice me (a bright green cannonball), took a left turn directly in front of me, and stopped in my travel lane when she panicked.
Rode through smoldering aftermath of a forest fire. It was fine till late evening yesterday when I rode past this same stretch. This summer has been very dry, I hope it rains soon!
I had a nice few days up the coast with old mates. Knowing of fun options, I rode.
From Windsor I headed to Wisemans Ferry, very little traffic, and none at all in the funnest bits. Just made the ferry, the sole car turned left, & I turned right to Mangrove Mtn. It's narrow, winding, bumpy, passes through a few little towns, & roadworks. I was the only one going my way. Hit the boring freeway at Somersby, riding highways to Nelson Bay.
Heh, if I filled up 10 liters fuel every week in my motorcycle for 10 years (and rode the ~350-400km every week to use it up) it barely comes close to what this private jet consumed in one flight:
A while ago, but finally made some time for a quick #motorbike tour round where I live. A combination of #schiphol#runway safari and nice pittoreske villages at the water :-) So much to see, even though weather was not super.
#motorcycles are good for mental health, at least for me.
Still wondering if my #nc700x is good enough or if pappa should get a #Ninja1000sx / #gsx1000. Don’t want to test them, afraid I’ll like the power.
I wonder if the proliferation of e-bikes and the increasing cost of gasoline will encourage more folks to try out #motorcycles or at least motorscooters (electric or otherwise in either case). #motorcycle
There are things that you do that bring you inordinate joy, far more joy than is reasonable. For me, that is riding my motorcycle. Riding a motorcycle melts away all my cares and makes me feel alive. I think I would die if I couldn't ride a motorcycle any longer
When I look at motorcycles and moto-gear, I often hear the comment, “it looks aggresssive” It’s a huge turn off for me. Why would I want my transport and gear to look aggressive? On a bike, it means it looks like an insect, on gear, it’s angular and busy looking. YUCK #motorcycles
