@ai6yr What's striking about that film today is that the casinos they hit were all real places, and (mostly) filmed on location at them. Vegas loved the Rat Pack more than they disliked being portrayed as having poor security.
@ai6yr That's why I try to go through there every couple of years. Things are always changing. BTW.... it has been almost 5 years since my last visit to Las Vegas...
@wd9ewk I guess the new thing is "The Sphere". I hear from various people who have been there that it's been quite hard to see things due to the F1, and it's finally being taken apart (apparently seeing the front of the casinos on "The Strip" was a problem for several months!)
@ai6yr Long gone. That entire downtown area is apparently some sort of covered light display show now. The Mint had a display of $1M in cash (at least supposedly, it looked real) at the entrance.
@lauren Ah, sadly, the location of "The Mint" is just a sad looking restaurant with no neon, in the light show/pickpocket's paradise zone 🤪 #vegas#themint
@hankg Maybe? Borrowed it from the library. I got fed up with commercials and have moved to playing DVDs on my laptop, the uninterrupted experience is SO much better. It's great, although you have to ignore the ancient ideas of a woman's place in society, LOL.
