Well. Seems I have to reinstall #OpenSUSE#Tumbleweed. I tried restoring as many of my custom #KDE theme settings as I could remember before retrying to upgrade to #Plasma6. It didn't help. Colors being screwed I get, but why are so many things are straight up missing. Volume widget? BT widget? Whole sections in the Plasma Settings are just gone. ???
@amadeus Exactly! Things went totally sideways though and became much worse lol, now the system won't boot at all. 😅 But this gives me the opportunity to learn Linux boot systems on a deeper level than I ever have before. I have to figure out what's wrong and learn how to fix it manually (no tools thus far has fixed it). And that's a great way to really learn something. 🤓
@macberg I often felt the same way. If you don't get annoyed and have the opportunity to take a close look at things, you have a lot of potential to learn. Good luck! 🤞
Great, the latest #MozillaFirefox update for 123.0.1 on #openSUSE Tumbleweed just ... disabled all my add-ons because they're (supposedly?) not signed.
Remedy according to the docs?
Uninstall everything and reinstall a signed version! (They're apparently not automatically updated?)
Which, like, totally doesn't destroy the settings.
Never mind, #OpenSUSE Tumbleweed #linux kinda sucks so far. I remember why I stopped trying to use it.
-Proprietary Nvidia drivers are a clusterfuck of information, and sudo zypper install-new-recommends --repo NVIDIA as per the manual doesn't work even though I added the repo
-They make you make your own bash script for prime-run after you install suse-prime
-Applications I install don't make shortcuts in KDE
-I had to use a GUI to install #lutris cause the repo isn't in by default
Edit: I have no idea how autocorrect managed to change "3 computers" to "my wives" but I feel like I have to let it stay in there. Maybe it's trying to tell me something...
