I find it ironic that ~11 minutes into the video, Matt says something like "Drupal is GPL too, right?". My man, it might be time for WordPress to invest some resources in the equivalent of Drupal's Licensing Working Group and reign in some of the licensing chaos your contributed plugins and themes. At least write your own policies. https://wordpress.org/about/license/ is still referencing Drupal.org's policies on derivative works.
