gmate8,

The parallel between Roblox not supporting Linux and Trezor + Ledger not supporting privacy coins in the right way is interesting.

Lesson: Stay away from "mainstream".

@gmate8 It's still somewhat understandable why they won't make a native client, but them axing Wine support is ridiculous.

I've seen more of the discussion on the Dev Forum thread, and they don't seem to give very good reasoning as to dropping Wine support.

They claim it is to ensure they get telemetry from the target machines on Windows, but they could just not send info if wine is detected? It's so stupid.

gmate8,

@morxemplum I think in Roblox's case, it's again these Microsoft contracts.

gmate8,

When we think about, why the majority of AAA games don't support Linux? Well because the contracts with Microsoft, and yeah, money.

All the things in our society boils down to money. Just think about it.

Ledger supports

gmate8,

@bazurk I highlighted "not in the right way". In Ledger's case, there could be any time a backdoor deployed that oversees every transaction (if that hasn't been made already), even Monero, because Ledger is not fully open source. And I don't know about Trezor Monero support, but this Zcash failure let's me to assume it is a bare bones support.

gmate8,

@bazurk okay right now it seems I had right as my theory was justified, not exactly as I intended to warn, but it was.

Again: stay away from mainstream❗
