@atomicpoet Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’m still trying to get a hang of using this platform. Anything that doesn’t feed more algorithm machines I’m all for it.
@atomicpoet that's why I've never been an active user of "social media", once again we twisted a good natured concept for profit. What could be more social than letting someone know you liked a post of theirs with no purpose other than... socializing?
@atomicpoet This is actually the very best reason to “like” something. It’s just you giving the tooter little smile 🙂 or a wink 😉 what could be better?
@atomicpoet I don’t want to boost everything that makes me smile or think or whatever. I don’t want my followers to be bombarded by me over sharing. But liking let’s people know that I value what they’ve said or shared.
@atomicpoet
I wish people got this more. As a disabled person that has limited energy clicking the favourite button is sometimes all I can do. It also means a lot to me to see that someone has seen and acknowledged posts. Plus there are posts that don't need to be shared or replied to and a favourite is the perfect response.
@atomicpoet I disagree. When you boost, you are saying to others “this post is so good that I want to share it with others”. I’d much rather be boosted than favourited.
