Chris Giles is declaring his astonishment in the FT this morning that the battle to beat inflation has nearly been won. But if only he’d have read the evidence Danny Blanchflower and I presented in 2022 he’d have known there wasn’t even a battle to be had. Inflation always passes, quite quickly.
